th, We’re calling on everyone in Hamburg to participate in the updating of the Gender Equality Policy Framework (GPF) and the Acceptance of Gender and Sexual Diversity Action Plan (Action Plan). How do you experience gender equality and gender acceptance in your everyday life? How can we boost the participation of people of all genders and non-binary people as well as the acceptance of gender and sexual diversity? Do you have any ideas that could help Hamburg further promote these issues? We would love to hear about your everyday experiences. Give us your feedback!

 Your contributions will be made available to the Hamburg authorities at the end of the participation process and then discussed in joint workshops with the authorities, associations and federations to update the GPF and the Action Plan. 

 On this basis, new and further measures will be developed for the GPF and for the equality of women in Hamburg across all areas. This includes the labour market, the health sector, (further) education, business, sport, voluntary work, associations and clubs.

 The Federal Constitutional Court’s decision regarding a third gender option means that people who are neither women nor men are also recognised by the highest court and can choose “diverse” as their recorded gender. Measures to promote the acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people across all areas of life are also being developed in the update to the Senate’s Action Plan, e.g. to increase visibility and ensure protection.
